Book: Entwined by Heather Dixon
Word 'o' the Day: stoic- cold and unemotional
Emotion: yucky
So, I don't feel good. My head still hurts from the encounter with my dog's rope toy and I just don't feel well... I should probably do to bed, but I don't want to. I've been writing a bunch today and have about a million show tunes stuck in my head because of it. But I wrote at least the first portion of a chapter of a short (or possibly long) story. It's called "Unnecessary Complications", which I think is a pretty great title. I also buried a bird today. Bones are really white, which is really creepy. I really hope I never have to see bones that close up ever again (well, I'll make an exception for dinosaurs). I gave him (I think it was a boy...) a nice funeral with a gravestone and everything. I named him Norman and I suspect he died in the winter or because of my dog. So, about the title, I really want some followers. What's wrong with my blog? Hummm? I also wish someone other than myself will comment on my posts. But I can't really force you to comment...or can I? I should look into that... Any who, back to the topic of that story I was writing. Here's a little teaser:
"Love is..." he said his face puckering into a sour expression. I gave him a look.
Seth started over "Love is a..."
"Love is a, what?" I asked
"Love is an unnecessary complication."

Heehee
Book: Gorgeous by Rachel Vail
Word 'O' the Day: trippy- strange and a very 1970s druggie feeling
Feeling: annoyed
I'm posting again. I just wanted to vent my frustration about how there are a lot of authors out there who DO NOT update when new books will be coming out. I have been searching and searching for new books to read and up and coming books. When I become an author I promise I will inform my (probably minimal amount of) fans about how my books are coming along and when the newest ones will be coming out. I will also post on my blog regularly. That's all. I'm going back to book searching.

Stupid cliffhanger...
Book: Gorgeous by Rachel Vail
Word 'O' the Day: trippy- strange and very 1970s druggie feeling
Feeling: headache
So, my head hurts. I was playing with my dog and she has one of those rope toys that reminds me of a mace, anyway she was shaking it back and forth and it hit my nose. It isn't broken but it HURTS and is even more crooked than it would be. I use but a lot... SO yesterday I watched Tangled three times. I liked it very much, as you can probably tell. I really like how Disney is having it so the male main character falls in love first rather than the female, a refreshing step away from a clique. It is debatable if Flinn fell in love first or not, but I am a strong believer in that. So the real reason I wanted to post was because of the fantastic book I just read. It's called Deamonglass by Rachel Hawkins. It is the sequel to Hex Hall. I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read it, but it's a freaking cliffhanger and I am SO ticked off. I don't take well to cliffhangers. I found out after a little research on her blog that Hex Hall 3, the third and final book comes out next year. Very depressing for the girl who read the book in a day. I eat up books and would have loved if I could have waltzed down to the library and picked it up.... have they invented time travel yet? I shall go prowl the internet to see if I can have a copy sent back in time.

I'm so short...
Book: Sequins, Secrets, and Silver Linings by Sophia Bennett
Word 'O' the Day: gidget- a short tomboyish girl
Feeling: insanely busy
Every one won't stop telling me how short I am. I'm not short enough to be 'fun sized' but I'm short enough to bug me, because everyone in my family is ridiculously tall! ANYWAY, besides the fact that I am a gidget my brain is crazy crammed with everything for ship bells to chromatic scales. Practically everything I own is covered in a sticky note reminding me of another thing I'm going to forget. Heh heh, I probably go through like a pad of sticky notes per day. I am probably the number one buyer of sticky notes and purple pens in the world. Besides my office supply obsession, i spend my free time popping those packing bubble things. Not really, but it does add a peculiar layer to my quirky personality, right? :)

April Fools!
Book: NONE ( no joke, I'm not reading a book)
Word 'O' The Day: queer - odd, strange, different
Feeling: disgustingly icky
Some people pulled some pretty mean pranks today. This girl came, left then came back. She was known for asking people out no matter the age. Today some guys wanted to ask her out and if she said yes the they would yell "April Fools" in her face. I felt really bad hearing this. She isn't the greatest person but she totally doesn't deserve to be treated so bad. There were some girls who went out of their way to make sure there was no room for her at their lunch table, where her best friend sits with her boyfriend(this actually happened the first day this girl was back). When I mentioned this to a friend she told me I should inform this girl of the prank and made it sound like it was my fault people didn't like her (that friend would be one of the people who doesn't like her). People can be so cruel. Most, myself included, can't see things from another point of view. This girl has been through a lot, two divorces and a split up of possible parents, everyone who is mean doesn't look at those facts. I don't know if I'm totally gung-ho for a crack down on bullying in some places. It may stop cruel things like this prank, but there are a lot of jokes between friends that could be misunderstood by on lookers. On to happier things. It's April, that's good. National Poetry Month. Speaking of that, this website I really like is having a poetry contest for it being National Poetry Month. http://www.authorstop.com/contests I don't really know what to enter yet. It's a pretty small website, so it's not like your winning $1 million but it's still fun to enter, like practice for bigger and better things.
You know what I hate? People who say "I can't wait for the real world, for my life to start." Your life has started! For heaven sakes, you have been living in the real world from the moment you were born. Your life is your choices shaped by the choices of others. Well, it's late and now I'm ranting...
