Blog-a-de-Blog-a-de-blog!

Book: My Unfair Godmother by Janette Rallison
Word 'o' the Day: retalliate- to get back at someone, to right an injustice (depending upon how you look at it)
Feeling: REALLY tired
Mondays are yucky. I really don't like Mondays. But today a lot of people are liking Monday. The big news has been that Osama Bin Laden is dead. And  like two days ago it was the royal wedding. I, like millions of bloggers worldwide, will be writing about both. So I swear half the people in the US are ready to throw a party, while the others aren't so sure. I happen to be a part of the unsure percentile of the world, not just the US. I honestly think that since 9/11 US citizens have been very suspect of Muslims, and frankly not very nice. Yes someone you know died and, yes you will never get them back, but the same is with anyway someone dies. Knowing someone is responsible my make the pain easier to bare, but the truth is they need to come to terms with the death and start to move on. I want to stress that I am trying not to come off as insensitive, and I'm really sorry if I sound that way. I friend of mine said today that Bin Laden being killed "just reminds them [the people who had family killed in 9/11] of that empty space in their hearts and lives". The empty space is just the same for anyone who had known someone who had died, and as for the bringing it back up, no one killed Bin Laden just to make people sad. Anyway, my point is that we shouldn't start planning the "Osama's dead, everything will be better" parties. You never know when there will be retaliation.
Now, the royal wedding, I loved it! Her dress was so pretty. I loved the long lace sleeves, so refreshing compared to the bridal wear sported by most brides. It was a sweet ceremony, although I wondered why everyone wasn't facing the alter. The trees in the Abby were a beautiful touch. A funny thing about West Minster Abby, I over heard someone call it Saint Abby's Church. I found that really funny, the person being a teacher and all.
